R-426A is a near azeotropic, zero ozone depleting HFC and HC refrigerant gas mixture, used as a drop-in replacement for R-12, and its HCFC substitutes such as R-409A, R-406A, DI-36 without the need to change the original system oil.
R-426A provides the same cooling capacity as R-12. Positive and average working temperatures.
Applications:
– Car air conditioning.
– Domestic refrigerators.
– Conservation chambers.
– Refrigerated transport.
– Commercial refrigeration.
– Not recommended for centrifugal compressors.
NOTES:
– Lower temperature slip (glide) than R437A so that the fractionation of the mixture in case of leakage will be much lower, thus maintaining optimum operating conditions.
– Lower discharge pressure than R-437A, so the compressor will suffer less, especially in warm geographical areas.
– Fast, simple and economical replacement.
– No harm to the ozone layer, ODP = 0.
– Compatible with the original system oil.
– They allow the maintenance of existing equipment.
– Equipment can be refilled in case of leakage.
– Studies show that technically it can be mixed with R-12 or R134a in any proportion.
– They achieve the same cooling capacity and energy efficiency as R-12.
– Global Warming Potential (GWP): 1508
– Boiling point at 1.013 bar (ºC): -28.6
– Temperature glide or glide (ºC): 0.5
– Saturated vapor density at 25ºC (kg/m3): 30.9
– UN NO. 1078
– Safety classification: A1. Low toxicity and non-flammable.
