APPLICATIONS
Air conditioning
Industrial Refrigeration
Commercial Refrigeration
he 1234ze is a zero ozone depleting refrigerant with very low global warming potential (GWP), developed to comply with the European F-Gas Directive, for the phase-out of refrigerants with high global warming potential in various applications. With an atmospheric heating potential of 6, the 1234ze is an energy efficient alternative for a wide variety of medium temperature applications.
1234ze is slightly flammable (A2L), and requires minor changes in equipment design to be used in new equipment.
Applications:
– Supermarkets.
– Commercial buildings.
– Heat pumps.
– Refrigerators.
– Vending machines.
– Beverage dispensers.
– Air dryers.
– CO2 cascade systems in commercial refrigeration.
– Foaming agent.
PERFORMANCE:
Field tests on air-cooled chillers have shown a significant reduction in energy consumption compared to propane (R-290). In addition, compared to traditional refrigerants, the properties and performance characteristics of 1234ze are similar, but without the environmental penalty of high-GWP HFCs.
If equipment modifications are made to compensate for the loss in cooling capacity compared to HFC-134a, 1234ze will provide a higher energy efficiency or coefficient of performance (COP) than R.134a in a wide range of applications and conditions. According to compressor experts, HFO performance can be further improved by optimizing compressor design. Reciprocating, Sroll, screw and centrifugal compressors can be used.
– No harm to the ozone layer, ODP = 0.
– Working pressures similar to those of R-134a.
– Slightly lower cooling capacity than R-134a.
– Energy efficiency superior or equivalent to R-134a.
– Global Warming Potential (GWP) = 6
– Boiling point at 1.013 bar (ºC): -19.00
– UN NO.: 3163
– Safety classification: A2L. Low toxicity and slightly flammable.
– 60 kg
– 25 kg
– 14 kg
