On October 16 Lluís Giralt LópezCEO of Gas Servei S.A., participated in a round table discussion at Tecnofrío 2019, the IV Congress on Refrigeration Technologies organized by Atecyr, Spanish Technical Association for Air Conditioning and Refrigerationthe Community of Madrid and the Energy Foundation of that community.
The roundtable discussed the future of the F-Gas Regulation and the progress on the full report to be published by the European Commission on December 31, 2022 on the effects of the F-Gas Regulation, including: a) Forecast of HFC demand up to and beyond 2030. b) New fluorinated gas emission reduction ratio. c) European and international standards on the transition to alternative refrigerants.
In his speeches, Lluís Giralt asked the different public administrations to make available all the necessary resources to eradicate the illegal market of fluorinated gases. 🗨 “It is necessary to introduce control mechanisms in customs that detect the entry of refrigerant gases without quota,” he stressed.
