R-422D is a non-azeotropic, zero ozone depleting mixture of HFC and HC refrigerant gases, used as a direct (drop-in) substitute for R-22 in equipment equipped with an adjustable expansion system (TXV) with positive and average evaporation temperatures down to -15ºC.
It was originally designed to replace R-22 in direct expansion water chillers. It can also be used in domestic and residential air conditioning systems, as well as in medium temperature refrigeration systems. Compatible with the original system oil. Slightly lower cooling capacity than R-22. May require opening/regulating the expansion valve.

– Water chillers.
– Rooftop.
– Multisplits / Cassette.
– Conservation chambers.
– Fast, simple, economical replacement.
– No harm to the ozone layer, ODP = 0.
– Compatible with the original system oil.
– They allow the maintenance of existing equipment.
– Equipment can be refilled in case of leakage.
– Discharge temperatures much lower than R-22, which extends the life of the compressor.
– Slightly lower cooling capacity and energy efficiency than R-22.
